What Frame Rate Does GoToAssist Remote Support v5 Use?

When the customer and agent are sharing their screen during a remote view or remote control session, GoToAssist Remote Support v5 uses a frame rate of 18-30 frames per second (FPS). The average FPS for sessions is about 22-23 FPS.

What does FPS depend on?
  • Bandwidth available for the agent and the customer
  • Connection type (UDP vs TCP)
    Tip: It is recommended that you allow UDP traffic through port 15000. Restricting the traffic to TCP may decrease the quality of the GoToAssist Remote Support v5 support experience.
  • Geo-location of the agent, customer, and data center
  • CPU
